2008 Pepsi Sectional (Montgomery
/ Prattville / Auburn / Valley / Phenix City) This year
there were 208 youth bowlers participating in the
Montgomery/Prattville/Auburn/Valley/Phenix City Pepsi Sectional at Auburn Lanes,
Auburn, Alabama. All those
participating in the 12 and Over Scratch Division qualify for the State portion
of the tournament. This year we had 11 boys and no girls participating in
the Scratch Division. In the 12 and
Over Handicap Division there were 71 participants in the Boys Division with 25
qualifiers and there were 33 participants in the Girls Division with 13
qualifiers. (1 of 3 participants plus ties qualify) In the 11 and
Under Handicap Division there were 58 participants in the Boys Division with 20
qualifiers and there were 35 participants in the Girls Division with 12
qualifiers. (1 of 3 participants plus ties qualify) Youth Bowlers whose names appear on a yellow background have advanced to the State Portion of the Tournament. The State Pepsi tournament will take place on April 19th for the 11 and under boys and girls at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Mountain Lanes, 300 Bowling Lane, Pelham, AL, 35124. The 12 and over boys and girls divisions, both handicap and scratch, will take place on April 19 at 10:00 at Vestavia Bowl, 1429 Montgomery Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35216. The top 6 in each division will return at 4:30 p.m. to bowl a 6-game league schedule with a position round. Congratulations!!! Good Luck!!
